Dopo il successo della scuola di proteomica teorico-pratica di ItPA dell’edizione 2020, \u00a0abbiamo proposto a EUPA di co-organizzare, quest\u2019anno, una scuola internazionale,\u00a0 \u00a0mantenendo la struttura originaria con \u00a0la possibilit\u00e0 di avere sessioni pratiche di laboratorio e di analisi dati.\u00a0 Sono aperte \u00a0quindi le iscrizioni per la\u00a0EuPA\u00a0summer school<\/strong>, dal titolo “Understanding the proteome:\u00a0from study design to data analysis moving through the bench”,\u00a0<\/em>che si terr\u00e0 dal\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>14\u00a0<\/strong>al\u00a017 Giugno 2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>presso i laboratori del\u00a0CEINGE\u00a0<\/strong>a\u00a0Napoli, coorganizzata con ItPA.\u00a0<\/strong> La\u00a0scuola\u00a0quest\u2019anno si terr\u00e0 in lingua inglese, proprio per la sua connotazione internazionale.\u00a0 Pertanto, per consentire di svolgere le attivit\u00e0 teorico ma soprattutto pratiche il numero massimo di partecipanti \u00e8 fissato a\u00a016 unit\u00e0<\/strong>, che verranno selezionati in base alla data di iscrizione, cercando di mantenere una distribuzione geografica europea equilibrata. The event, which will take place at the CEINGE in Naples from 14 to17 June 2022, consists of an advanced theoretical and practical training project, aimed at doctoral students or young researchers who want to approach and deepen the basic aspects of this biochemical discipline. It will be open to a maximum of 16 members to guarantee everyone access to the instrumental laboratory with an active participation in practical and bench works. The program will consist of theoretical lessons of 1h and 30 min held by professors of recognized value at international level in this area, who will treat all topics related to the main proteomics application fields, starting from the experimental design to the preparation of the sample for different applications, to the analytical techniques for protein identification and quantification, to bioinformatics tools for the processing of analytical data and to the reconstruction of biological models inferable from this type of experiments. Alongside the theoretical lessons, there will be a full day of practical lessons organized by tutors (one every four people) to allow participants to familiarize themselves with the most recent sample preparation protocols and with the latest generation instrumentation; in particular, participants will be instructed and guided in the use of mass spectrometers such as MALDI ToF – ToF and Orbitrap configured with nano ESI source interfaced with nano LC-MS \/ MS, present at the Proteomics Facility at CEINGE. An entire section will be dedicated to the analysis of data obtained from real samples using the latest bioinformatics tools, with interactive exercises that will take place in the bioinformatics room of CEINGE. At the end of the event, for all those interested, the teachers and tutors will be available for one-to-one interviews to discuss specific experimental issues of interest.
